Which of These Three Common Belly Fat Mistakes Have You Made?
If you’re trying to lose belly fat, but you keep feeling like you’re running into a brick wall, this article is for you. I’m going to be talking about the three most common mistakes that people make when they’re trying to get rid of belly fat. I’m also going to be discussing why these mistakes are ineffective, and then give you a link to a resource that can help you to effectively lose weight.
Crash diets are very common mistake a lot of people fall into. These are diets where you basically reduce your dietary intake until you’re hardly eating at all. In fact some of them are full-blown fast, where you eat nothing for a period of time of up to 30 days. It’s hardly shocking that you lose weight when you do this, because you’re basically starving. However, your body recognises this fact, and will fight against it. The first thing it will do is slow down its metabolism to try and preserve what little calories it has, and then it will start breaking down the tissues in the body that can most easily be turned into energy. Sadly, this is not the fat. So you’re actually find that you be losing tissues such as muscles before you start reducing fat. When a person comes off of one of these crash diets, they usually find that they start putting weight back on a shocking rate. This is because the body is trying to undo the damage which was caused by the period of starvation.
The next highly common mistake that people make is to try to lose stomach fat by doing lots of stomach exercises. Stomach exercises do not actually help you to lose weight in the stomach area particularly, because they do not burn a lot of energy. To get rid of fat, you need to burn energy, but the stomach exercises are really designed to help build up and tone the muscles in the abdominal area. The end result of doing this is that you can actually build up muscles underneath the fat, which will just make the stomach look bigger. Obviously this is undesirable, so what is needed is some way of burning up energy so that your body loses weight.
The last of these three mistakes that I’m going to discuss is the use of dangerous diet pills. This is not to say that all supplements designed to help people with weight loss are dangerous, but there are definitely some products out there which are harmful. These products are basically stimulants, and what they do is overstimulate the metabolism. People will lose weight on these drugs, just like they will on street drugs like speed. However, the weight loss pills can have similar side-effects to street drugs, causing major health problems and wrecking the metabolism. Every year new drugs are banned because of the side-effects, so you should be very careful about any weight loss supplements that you take.
