Which Anti-Snoring Products Work?
Snoring is a problem for millions of people every time they go to sleep. But its not just the snorer who suffers. Bed partners and even those in the next room can be affected by loud snoring. So finally no one gets a good night’s sleep. Snoring problems can create relationship difficulties as well as tiredness which goes on to negatively affect daily life. While snorig itself can cause soreness, the tiredness that results can have wider effects and it only takes one or two sleepless nights to feel fatigued. So snoring remedies, when needed, are searched for urgently and manufacturers have created a wide range of solutions. But how many anti snoring products actually work the way that they claim?
If you are a snorer, or you are close to someone who snores, the first thing to understand is that snoring can be an indicator of a serious health problem which must be attended to by a doctor. If someone snores loudly every night, or wakes up gasping for breath they could very well be suffering from a condition called sleep apnea. This is a very serious medical condition which could increase the possibility of heart attacks or strokes in the sufferer. There is no anti snoring device or product on the market which can help with this, so there is no point looking. And before you do go looking for an anti snoring solution, it i a good idea to check with your doctor first.
There are many anti snoring products available. Some of them are Snore Zip, Snore Relief, Snorenz, Never Snore, and Breathe Right Nasal Congestion Relief. There are also many different types of anti snore product, such as oral sprays, nasal sprays, nose strips, mouthpieces, dental devices and chin straps, among others. The sprays and strips tend to be among the cheapest and easiest to apply and are therefore more common. Sprays are designed to be sprayed to the back of the throat, and strips are designed to go across the nose to opn the nasal passages.
Most anti snoring sprays are designed to affect the throat, nose and wind pipe. They work to reduce any inflammation in the sinus or the throat to ease the passage of air. Some sprays are said to work by moistening the soft palatte; while others are said to work by firming up the loose tissues at the back of the throat. It really depends upon the individual as to whether these work or not. It depends very much upon the cause of your snoring whether or not one of these will work for you. The fact is that there has been no scientific evidence supplied to prove that such sprays will help all cases of snoring – so its really down to the individual to test for their own needs.
As for the strips, the USA Food and Drug Administration has allowed several products to claim that they “reduce snoring.” So the strips may be more universally applicable and worth a try.
But bear in mind there are many remedies for snoring which don’t cost any money at all. Medical experts have said that a simple loss of weight could be the difference between snoring and not snoring. They also advise that smoking can be a cause and stopping snoring would be one more benefit of giving up smoking. Another cause is drinking alcohol soon before going to bed. But it is also worth considering the possibility of an allergy which could be helped by simply changing the type of bedding you use. In all cases, it is the cause of snoring which dictates the remedy. Don’t just go out and buy the product with te best advertising, go and find out what has worked for others and consider if the same might apply to you.
