Stress can lead you down either of two roads. On one road, your performance level is increased as you will benefit from the full effects of the adrenaline surge; allowing you to react quickly and overcome whatever is in front of you. On the other road, you crash and burn due to the prolonged state of distress that comes without any resolution and your body tries to push itself to the limits and giving you all these symptoms in the process; your fight or flight reaction is supposed to help you, but it backfires.

Stress headaches are the kind of headaches that can distract you and slow down your thinking processes. Fortunately, there are a lot of ways you can relieve stress headache. Here are a few of them:
Massage: Start massaging your head if you know how to give a massage. If not, then find someone who knows. The guys in barbershops and massage shops can quickly kick that headache away. Remember that your headaches are caused by stress, so by relieving stress, you get rid of headaches. One of the best ways to relieve stress is to find a way to relax. You can’t go wrong with the massage. Areas to be massaged are the neck, head, and shoulder areas.
Exercise: Lack of exercise makes you weak since it impairs blood circulation to other parts of your body. With headaches, you don’t have to perform a rigorous exercise regimen. Stand up, walk around, or simply stretch. These can normalize your body functions and give you relief from stress headaches.
Deep breathing: Stress headaches are signs that you have been exposed to stressful situations for a longer period of time that you could handle. In short, you’re tense. Thinking too much while under the effects of stress can give you more headaches rather than alleviate them. So clear your mind and do some deep breathing to at least get some oxygen into your brain and give you a sense of calmness, even just a little. After a few minutes, you’ll notice that you have regained your composure and you can carry on.
Vacation: I’ve been talking about the prolonged exposure to stress, which is most often the reason for your headaches. This might seem like an overreaction to a mere headache, but get a vacation! With stress, you can’t take risks. Don’t wait for the more serious symptoms to appear. Take a break and get a well-deserved rest.
