Panic Attack Free – Stay In Control

Panic attacks can make your world seem small, isolated, an claustrophobic as you feel limited by more and more constraints. I’d like to share the following methods you can use to control your panic attacks.

Triumph Over Fear and Panic Attacks

”Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway,” is a favorite book, I reference often. It encourages us to confront our fears. An excellent read; buy a copy today.

Take baby steps to overcome fear and anxiety, by attempting something small, that you fear, on a daily basis. Nothing intense, just a little fear that you’ve had for some time. Try asking a stranger for directions if you’re lost, or new to an area. Tell a close friend that you struggle with a panic attack disorder. Or ask for professional help.

An amazing thing occurs when you face your fears. The fear, itself, subsides. You will begin to associate a past fear with a new experience.

Stress and Anxiety Coping Skills

A stressful life can seem overwhelming as you constantly rush to manage everything going on around you. Eliminate all things that are unnecessary from your to-do list.

Make a list of what is necessary. Simply erase them or cross them off from your task list. Must you reply to every single email, or is it more accurate to say that most of them are just inconsequential bits of gossip? Learn to lighten your load.

Control Negative Thinking

Negative thoughts invite anxiety, stress and worry. Dress a negative thought in humor, you’ll be surprised of the outcome.

If you find that you experience excessive, and repetitive thoughts, try injecting random humor. Fancy it a comic strip with funny characters. Or maybe a record, or movie, playing backwards.

This will break the chain of fixation you have with obsessive thoughts.

Your panic attacks will be easier to manage, if not non-existent, by using these three techniques.
