How To Get Motivated And Stay Motivated
In the words of Marvin Phillips, “The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!”
Women would often stand in front of the mirror and check every area of their bodies as if trying to find something invisible. They would turn around and look at their thighs and butt; sometimes they would jump or wiggle their bodies, trying to determine if some parts of their body jiggle like jell-o. If they proceed to getting dressed without the depressing look of defeat, they have passed the test.
So, what happens if they see themselves as fat and out of shape? Of course, they would feel bad about it but, on the other hand, they are motivated again to exercise and eat healthily. Sometimes, you won’t know when to move unless you are hit by an undeniable realization.
Why should women have to fail first and feel bad before deciding to take action? Motivation is by naturally that way, “you don’t have it when you don’t need it!” I, on the other hand, asserts that motivation is not something that just comes. It is a decision… a conscious decision! Counterintuitive, but in reality, motivation is a state of mind and I hate to accept that one has no control over one’s mind.
To have motivation is a responsibility (response – ability). It is the ability to respond on your own resolve, a proactive approach to things, not reactive. If you just wait around for layers of fat to accumulate on your belly before getting something done, then you are being reactive. On the other hand, doing fitness exercises regularly and eating healthy fat burning diets even it is apparent that you do not need it is what you call being proactive.
Proactivity is what a woman needs the most to avoid all the heartaches of getting fat. Responding proactively is doing the right thing without reaching the point of getting disappointed and depressed.
If a woman can do this, she will have unwavering motivation to stick to her diet and training routines. It is the state wherein our role models in shape and fitness are in. They have constant motivation. If a woman knows that she is always motivated, she doesn’t have to subject herself to the mirror test anymore. How to lose weight fast is simply answered with an unwavering motivation.
Finally, what’s left to be done is to make it a habit. Once a habit is formed, it is extremely tough to break. Habits never die down unless you do something extreme to eradicate it. Train your mind while training your body to shed fat and build muscle. Little by little, the attitude and the way you deal with things will become a good habit that you will be happy have. It can only be accomplished by doing a particular regularly and repeatedly. It will become a habit in no time at all, making motivation second nature.
Women, remember that when you are trying to lose weight, do not wait for a negative stimulus to get moving. But rather, put some “UMPH” into it, where “umph” stands for Unwavering Motivation thru Proactive Habit.
So, next time, do not try. Just triumph!
