Yeah, seriously — don’t worry about it. Your business doesn’t really need to deal with first aid kits or any kind of special preventative care at the office, because we’ve put together these handy, not-at-all-fake reasons why you can simply go without.
#5: Injuries? What Injuries?
Really, when do people get hurt? I’ve never heard about it myself, and I think it’s mostly isolated to various TV shows and dramatized re-enactments. If I took a completely unscientific poll, I’m pretty sure most of the people I asked would say they’ve not only never been injured themselves, but don’t even know of someone with a past injury. And I’m sure it’s the same for you. Why buy a first aid kit that will never even be opened?
#4: We can just sorta… heal our own bodies, right?
Unless comic books and Hollywood films have lied to me, most wounds and other minor scrapes in the human body are easily dealt with. Even for really big injuries, say an open fracture or some kind of limb loss, I’m pretty confident that the human body — miraculous thing that it is — will just sort of work itself out. No?
#3: First aid kits don’t have anything useful in them anyway.
So pricey, all those bandages and things, right? You’ve got all that complicated gauze and these weird chemicals for “infections” and a bunch of other stuff, and I mean really who ever gets those? I’m starting to think these magical “first aid kits” are just some kinda big conspiracy or something!
#2: You can find simple and “safe” replacements for anything in a first aid kit!
Now we’re getting creative. Have a bleeding flesh wound? Head over to your supply closet and see what you can use! There’s probably all sorts of crap in there that can easily substitute for a proper first aid kid, right? Am I right? No?
#1: Who wants to be preventative, anyway? Boring!
I mean yeah, using a first aid kit might save your business a ridiculous amount of money by treating an injury quickly before it gets out of control, avoiding lengthy hospital stays and other such joys, but who can really say, either way? Why not just risk it?
