This article discusses the different expressions of anger and how you can express your anger so that you are satisfied with the results of it.

There are three basic categories that people use to describe the expression of anger. There are outward expressions, inward expressions and another expression that is referred to as calming or controlling.

Outward…

The outward expression is characterized by what we think is the normal way that anger is expressed. It involves shouting, threatening, sometimes sarcasm, and sometimes violence. Of the three forms of anger expression it is either the second or third worse form, depending upon how it is done.

Inward…

An inward expression of anger is a second type of expression. This form describes an anger that you do not talk about to anyone, but you keep it inside you. It leads to some of the more terrible forms of illnesses, including heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure and strokes.

While it may seem like it only affects you when you act this way, another danger of this type of expression is that the anger that is kept in can sometimes and often times turns into rage.

Calming…

When you use the expression of calming your anger you would have just chosen the best form of anger expression there is. When using this method, you will be assertive but you will not be aggressive. A second benefit of using this expression is that there are also fewer chances that the people you meet will retaliate back at you with anger of their own.

You would also find that when this expression is done properly, you would not normally be frustrated by the same person doing the same thing again. This form of expression gets to the bottom of situations, and solves them.

How to do it…

If you want to be good at expressing your anger the right way, you will need to learn to control the time period between the time you are angered and the time that you make your response.
