Easily Eliminate Unhealthy Cravings With Green Smoothies
I would like to start out by saying that this information is merely my opinion based on the information I have read on the topic of health in addition to the 10+ years living and eating the way I have on a daily basis. Also, with my blood work done twice each year that indicates zero deficiencies, I believe this information is very valuable and of course valid. Perhaps it works just for me, my body type and genetics, I can’t say for certain. But, just like smoking will have an affect on each one of us with various degrees of health negatives, the green smoothie diet, I feel, will have an affect on each of us with various degrees of health positives. Try it and see, after you speak with your natural, or other, health practitioner first of course.
The body is equipped to heal itself correct? Why is it that so many people are becoming and staying sick? Perhaps it is in inaccurate statement that the body is truly designed to heal itself? No! The predicament is that we a) do not give it with the appropriate amount of raw materials, usually in terms of food intake, it needs to heal itself and b) we constantly bombard it with stuff that hinders the performance of the limited number of essential resources that we do supply it.
I’m a big advocate of raw foods. To say that adding heat to food past a specific temperature destroying much needed enzymes that are significant to assimilation makes sense to me. Further, it is advised that to get the most out of our foods that we should be chewing it it until it disappears. We have troubles digesting large morsels of food. Also, I really feel that men women and children can survive and thrive off of a diet of chiefly fruits and greens, with of course some healthy fats. In regards to healthy fats, avocados, soaked nuts and seeds is all I usually have.
The main foods I have each an every day are composed of lots of raw fruits and greens in the form of green smoothies. Being mostly liquid, my body does a great job of assimilating the nutrients.
A huge hurdle for a lot of people when changing the way they eat, and a huge one for me is the unhealthy cravings. Like a person that has addiction to alcohol or drugs must go through a detox in order to heal, we essentially must to do a similar thing. Our cells are comprised of stuff from the food that we have eaten in the past. The body generally craves much of the same unhealthy foods that contribute to the makings of each of the sick cells in our body. For drug detoxes, many times, sauna therapy is used to removes the drugs through perspiration. That generally helps eliminate the physical drug cravings allowing the individual a better chance of staying sober. For us, adjusting our eating habits will probably activate the elimination of toxic foods as well which can be conveniently removed in stool, sweat and our pee. However, we still might crave those foods while some of the toxins in our cells are still there.
I have found that right away after having the first drink of my smoothie my cravings for grease, meat, salt, etc started to subside. After I was finished drinking the smoothie, the cravings passed completely and I’d be content. The concern then was that the unhealthy cravings would come back as I became hungry. So I started to make sure I was on top of it and would have another green smoothie ready and waiting before the cravings would reoccur, or shortly after they began. The unhealthy cravings eventually subsided for good as I became cleaner. And then I began to crave greens instead!
