All of the studies proved that hypnotherapy treatments proved much more successful than any nicotine replacement products. However the basis for the success is down to the skill and methods of the hypnotherapist and the willingness of the patient.
Fire Station Removal Job Costs Taxpayer 1 Million
Asbestos, the lethal fireproof insulation material banned in the 90s has been found and removed at nearly 40 fire stations in South Wales, costing the taxpayer over 1 million. A station in the country’s capital was found to require emergency work along with stations in 7 other towns. The cost of the removal was revealed after a Freedom of Information request from Chris Franks, a member of the Welsh political party, Plaid Cymru.
Opt-Out’ Donor System Could Save Hundreds Of Lives
Experts predict that an extra 300 vital transplants per year could be carried out if people were asked to ‘opt out’ of donating rather than the current ‘opt in’ system. The existing system requires people to register their wishes for donation on the Organ Donor Register but it is fundamentally flawed as people are often willing donors but do not get round to joining the register.
New NHS Spending Plan Released By Health Secretary
Health Secretary Andrew Lansley has confirmed that NHS spending will rise in real terms but stated that large efficiency warnings were crucial. He admitted that Labour’s extensive increase in health spending over their term in office was “not sustainable for the future”. Some questioned how the coalition of parties with opposing views on health would affect the big question of spending but the Liberal Democrats have accepted a Conservative “ring-fence” to guarantee real-term increases in keeping with inflation.
