Scooters for the Elderly
Many individuals prefer scooters to wheelchairs. First, scooters are electric. Second, they look less like a medical device than a standard wheelchair; they don’t automatically connote the idea that the person using the scooter is either sick or injured. It is, however, important to choose the scooter that works best for your loved one. There are bariatric, three-wheel, four-wheel and portable scooters.
