Are You Tired Of Being A Victim To General Anxiety?

It starts high up in your chest; you begin to have palpitations, your palms get sweaty, you start to tremble and your head is light and you feel dizzy? Are you plagued by panic attacks and general anxiety? Does this sound like you?

You know that panic attacks are not life threatening, but when you find yourself in the grips of one, it feels exactly like you’re going to die. A terrible feeling that something bad is about to happen almost knocks you for a loop.

When general anxiety hits, you’ll know it: your heart rate increases, you experience rapid and shallow breathing, a feeling of unreality settles over you and you may experience a fear of dying, and numbness over parts of your body.

Unresolved emotions are often pointed to as possible trigger of panic attacks, but it is important to point out that eliminating panic attacks from your life does not necessarily mean analyzing your psyche and digging into your subconscious.

It is understandable for anyone to fear they may be going crazy when they suffer from panic attack symptoms. There is not a lot of public awareness of mental disease so people who are experiencing panic attacks often jump to extreme conclusions. Thankfully, these conclusions are usually not correct and are the result of an overactive imagination.

Enroll yourself in a vigorous exercise program, if your health permits and this will help to “de-stress” your life and might even eliminate your general anxiety altogether. The body is a great repository for all our “stuff” and sometimes it just gets stuck.

Developing a meditation practice on a daily basis can go a long way to removing general anxiety and de-stressing your life. Quiet soothing sounds and or music acts like a soothing balm for the soul. After a few months of this kind of practice, you might find your panic attacks have disappeared.
