A Guy’s Guide Of The Best Radiohead Songs Of All Time

When it comes to greatest bands of the past twenty years, one band that is inevitably thrown in the conversation is Radiohead. Sure, U2, Green Day, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Dave Matthews Band can have arguments made for them, but none of these bands continue to mature the way that Radiohead does (except maybe Green Day).

Here are some of my favorite Radiohead songs, if you are looking to get in to their music.

Idioteque, off the Kid A album, is an anthem unto itself. Kid A was a revolutionary album for Radiohead and the first where they focused more on electronics rather than traditional instruments. Idioteque is the epitomy of this.

Everything In It’s Right Place is one of the greatest opening tracks on any album. It sets the tone for Kid A and lets you know what the band has in store for you. I still remember hearing this song for the first time.

While it is not technically a song and technically did not include the whole band, Thom York’s “Eraser” solo album (and track) is a great listen. It is stripped down, and an interesting fact is that he recorded the whole album using Garage Band on his Mac.

I Might Be Wrong is a great Radiohead song for a beginner to listen to. It is a quintessential song by the band and when they play it live, the crowd goes absolutely nuts. It is one of their many songs that gets me going at the beginning of a night.

It may not be my favorite song, but “Creep” put this band on the map. It is one of their few songs that follows a traditional verse chorus verse chorus structure, but it goes down as one of the bigger hits of 90s rock music. The band doesn’t play it live, ever, if that lets you know what they think of it.

So these are some songs and albums of Radiohead that worth a listen or two. Most of their albums can be listened to start to finish, which is hard to say for most bands these days.

Aside from songs, the author also regularly writes on garage wall storage systems and the corner shelf unit.
